Questions About Devils In Christian’s
Theme: Luke 16:13
I received a letter from someone, whom I will not
reveal that person’s name. She was so sure that Christians could
not be possessed of devils. Here
is her letter.
Hopefully you received our
comments on the Passion of Jesus Christ. Regarding a Christian being
demon possessed. In I John 5:18“We know that
whosoever is born of God sinneth not ; but he that is begotten of God
Keeps himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not”. That would
seem that he could not be possessed. And even Jesus said “ A
kingdom divided against itself cannot stand”, after they accused him of
having a devil. How can the devil cast out the devil? II Cor. 5:17“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he
is a new creature: old things are passed away ; behold, all
things are become new”. Gal. 2:20“I am
crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live ; yet not I, but
Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live
by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself
for me”. If Christ who is the light in him is no darkness, (what fellowship has Christ with Belial, or light with darkness, or
believer’s with unbeliever’s?) resides in us & is alive in us, then the devil wont be there. The Lord has delivered us from the
kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of His dear Son”. God
who has begun a perfect work in us will complete it unto the day of Jesus
Christ”. “Now unto Him who is able to prevent you from falling
& present you faultless before His Throne with exceeding Joy”. There
are so many, many more scriptures but we have other things to be
occupied with now So hope this helps.
Love in Christ,
This person sounds
very sincere, trying to live a Christian life, and trying
to learn scripture. Like most people, she does not understand
the true meanings of the scripture she has given in her letter. That is
mainly due to the pastor or preacher’s she is listening to, NOT teaching and preaching God’s true word. The Lord has shown me to use this letter, to
teach her and many others, as well that there is a distinction-of-functions, between Satan and his devils.
I will give you a strong foundation, through God’s
word, on this issue. Please
study carefully.
PossessedThe devils in someone, are out of control. I responded to her with this letter.
I received your letter, and was glad to hear from
you, especially on your commentary about devils living in Christians. You know, I
have found many people (some of them being sincere Christians), receive
things of the Bible from other people, and preacher’s, and scripture they read and quote. A good part of the
time, the scripture they quote is out
of context (have nothing to
do with what is being talked about). A few of the scripture you gave
me, are out of context. Not
to be alarmed, I will show you how they are out of context, therefore, I am not being critical, but
teaching.
The wicked one in I
John 5:18 is talking about Satan ONLY, NOT devils, even though devils are, in Satan’s army. You will find out that Satan (the wicked one, or old man) does have to
leave when you accept Jesus Christ into your heart, for the first
time, or each time you come back to Christ, from
being backslidden (fallen from God’s grace). So I John 5:18 is out of context, as we are NOT talking about Satan, we are talking about devils abiding in Christians.
The passages you are referring to “A kingdom
divided against itself cannot stand”. I believe you are referring to Matt. 12:22-28. Again, these passages are out of context, as they are referring to Jesus casting devils out
of a man that was blind and dumb in verse 22. The rest of verses 23-28, are not talking about Jesus having devils in Him, but by what authority are the devils being cast out, of the man. Turn
to Acts 19:13, and there are seven son’s of a Jew, called Sceva. This passage also, is not talking about the
son’s of Sceva being possessed. It’s
talking about the authority being used to cast devils out, although they had devils in them.
Now, in verses 17-20, you will
find devils (NOT THE devil, or Satan)
in Christians. Luke is writing to Christians in general, and
in verse 10, you will see a period of about two years, in
that the apostle Paul taught the Lord Jesus to the Jews and Greeks in Asia. Now I realize that, not
everyone Paul taught became a believer, but in verse 18, it
plainly tells us that, many that believed came and confessed, and let their deeds be known. Many
of them (believer’s) brought their curious arts (accultic
things, things of Satan), and burned them. Anytime you have things of Satan in your possession that is just legal grounds for devils to enter your temple (body, soul, and spirit). Devils can then say “What are you guys (devils) waiting for, this human has just SINNED. That’s our authority to enter in.What are you
waiting for? They are not going to miss a prime chance like that. After all that is one of the reasons devils feel they are on this earth, to live
in our temple, and control us through temptations and curses.
I have just shown you through
God’s word, devils live in Christians. Just because you asked Jesus Christ into your heart, and
or, you ask Jesus Christ to
forgive you of temple defiling sins you have committed, as found in I Cor. 6:9-10, and
several other places in the new testament, he does forgive you, the devils don’t
come out because of that. That is another issue you need to deal
with. They ONLY come out by being commanded out. So when you sin, you need to ask Jesus Christ (NOT a priest or another man), right
then, to forgive you of that sin. Then, you also need to command those devils (that came into you through that sin) out, through God’s
word (biblically).
You gave me II
Cor. 5:17 and Gal. 2:20. These
two scripture are very much in context, as to keeping devils out. They are telling us, IF we be in Christ, we are a new creature. That means, the
Holy Ghost brings to life our human spirit (which is our second birth. Our first birth was being born of our mother’s womb). Old
things are passed away, meaning we are to be crucified with Christ (clean out our body, soul, and spirit of sins, accursed things, AND devils), just as they did in Acts 19:18-19. All things are to become NEW, meaning
what I just talked about, living as Christians (follower’s
of Jesus Christ). I believe verse 18 also goes with this, because
we are to be reconciled to Jesus Christ as He
has given us the ministry of reconciliation. The word ministry in this context means the act of being joined or rejoined with Jesus Christ.
You asked me three
questions. What fellowship has Christ with Belial? None. They are two
different masters. The difference between light and darkness, believers and unbeliev-ers? The last two questions have to do with a
Christian marrying a non-Christian, a Christian going in partnership
with a non-Christian, and studying God’s word with people who
are in the occult, when you know
they are persistent in converting you to their doctrine. All of these three questions have to do with Satan, and NOT devils in Christians. Eze.8:4 tells us, the glory (presence) of the God of Israel was present in Solomon’s temple, at the same
time, devils of jealousy, and other devils were present. I hope I have answered
your questions on devils in Christians, through this letter, and the sets of papers that are enclosed. James 1:22“But
be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your
own selves”. That gives us a better perspective of God’s word and spiritual warfare.
God has shown us through His word that Christians, as well as sinners (everyone), has devils in them (except the triune Godhead. God has shown me, through experience, with many people (sinners, Christians, and backsliders), that Christians have devils in them. A question for you. How do Christians
become backslidden (no longer Christians)? Committing temple
defiling sins (as found in I Cor. 6:9-10 and other
places in God’s word) and waiting a period of time or never asking God to forgive you for committing those sins. How and when can you become a Christian, again? Just as soon as you ask Jesus Christ to forgive you of those temple
defiling sins, you are back in God’s grace, and NO
LONGER backslidden. NOW, WHATCHA GOING TO DO, about the devils that you invited in you that caused you to backslide in the first place? Seeing how
you have a free will, you have two choices. (A) You can keep them, and hope they
will not cause you to backslide again
(F A T C H A N C E), or (B) You can take your authority (through Jesus Christ) over them, and command them out, so they will NOT be the cause of you backsliding again. God allows you to make that choice.
The Lord gave us commands to do. Matt. 10:1“And when he had
called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean
spirits, to cast them
out, and to heal all manner
of sickness and all manner of disease”. Why are MOST disciple’s (Christians) NOT doing so? These commands are a mandate for every Christian and ALL offices of the Bishop.
James 1:22“But be ye doers of the word, and
not hearers only, deceiving your own selves”.
I hope through God’s
word, you have a better understanding on these issues. That person did not respond back. I expect she received her answer.
In Christ,
Dan
