Deliverance or Exorcism
Theme: Matt .20:25
Devil’s come out of people only through faith in Jesus Christ and being commanded out . So only christian’s have the authority to command devil’s out , because they have faith in Jesus Christ . No , that’s not true . Mark 9:38-40--- “And John answered him , saying , Master , we saw one casting out devil’s in thy name , and he follow eth not us: and we forbad him , because he follow eth not us”. (39)--- “ But Jesus said , Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name , that can lightly speak evil of me”. (40)--- “For he that is not against us is on our part”. So now you know , a sinner has to have faith in Jesus Christ , if they are going to cast devil’s out of someone . Matt .12:24-28--- “But when the Pharisee’s heard it , they said , This fellow doth not cast out devil’s , but by Beelzebub the prince of the devil’s”. Here , the Pharisee’s were accusing Jesus of casting out devil’s through the authority of Beelzebub , being Satan . (25)--- “And Jesus knew their thought’s and said unto them , every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation ; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand”: (26)--- “And if Satan cast out Satan , he is divided against himself ; how shall then his kingdom stand”? (27)--- “And if I by Beelzebub cast out devil’s , by whom do your children cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges”.
PARABLE: Verse 24 told us , Beelzebub is the prince of the devil’s . That means , Satan is all the devil’s , leader . No leader of a country , will eliminate his army . Satan is no different. Therefore , Satan does not give his permission , for devil’s to be cast out of anyone . (28)--- “But if I cast out devil’s by the Spirit of God , then the kingdom of God is come unto you”. In that verse , Jesus is telling us , devil’s only come out by the Spirit of God . Here’s how that works . I command a power or head devil out of someone , by my faith in Jesus Christ . I do that out loud and by the power of the Holy Ghost . Plus , all devil’s under that power or head devil’s charge , have to come out as well . See Mark 5:9 & 13 for confirmation .
I Cor .11:3--- “But I would have you know , that the head of every man is Christ ; and the head of the woman is the man ; and the head of Christ is God”. So , God the Father is the head of the world . It is always God’s will for devil’s to be cast out . As born again christian’s (male or female) , act as the sheriff . Jesus Christ is as the magistrate (mediator) of the courthouse . God’s angel’s (heavenly host) are as deputies . It is God the Father’s will , that whoever is the cause for a man to sin , they (devil’s) are to go to HELL for eternity (forever) , as that is their punishment , because they know better . Luke 9:1 , is an order for All born again christian’s (sheriff ’s , male or female) , to put into action , the warrant that Jesus Christ (magistrate) has given (issued) you to serve against ALL devil’s except Satan , because of Jude 9 . Read Matt .5:25 , as it will be helpful now . As you the sheriff , go to each person’s house (temple: body , soul , and spirit) , you will be commanding out power and head devil’s . Your deputies (God’s heavenly host , angel’s) will assist (help) you , as you bind (put in handcuffs , temporarily--for about an hour) power and head devil’s , and their follower’s (lesser in charge) . You will be sending the devil’s to Jesus Christ , as God’s angel’s will deliver the devil’s to Jesus Christ . Jesus Christ sends those devil’s to their final judgement place , being HELL (life without parole for eternity) , by ORDER (WILL) of the MOST HONORABLE JUDGE : GOD the FATHER , amen ?
Now , I will show you the difference between the two terms , deliverance and exorcism . I have wondered why people use the terms deliverance and exorcism , when people talk of casting devil’s out of people . They talk as though there is no difference between the two words . I don’t believe the majority of people understand the difference . The word exorcism means the process in which devil’s are cast out . The word exorcism , is not in God’s word . However , the word exorcist , is in God’s word , and only one time . Acts .19:13 defines as: one or more people who tried to , but failed to cast devil’s out of people .
Also , the word exorcist in verse 13 , is referring to vega bond Jews , who were sinner’s , and not christian’s . They were trying to cast the devil’s out , in the wrong way , not having their faith in Jesus Christ . I guess that’s why the Catholic church does not perform , what they call “exorcism’s”, on a regular basis .The Catholic church is afraid Acts 19:15&16 will be in effect . Matt .7:22&23--- “Many will say to me in that day , Lord , Lord , have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devil’s? and in thy name done many wonderful works”? (23)--- “And then will I profess unto them , I never knew you : depart from me , ye that work iniquity”. These verses are talking about sinner’s , who claim to be christian’s , because of their good works , as many doctrines teach of works and NO faith in Jesus Christ . That was the problem with the vegabond Jew’s we read of , works and NO faith .
Mark 9 ; 38-40--- “And John answered him , saying , Master , we saw one casting out devil’s in thy name , and he follow-eth not us : and we forbad him , because he follow-eth not us”. (39)--- “But Jesus said , Forbid him not :for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name , that can lightly speak evil of me”. (40)--- “For he that is not against us is on our part”. Again , we find in these last three verses , a sinner casting out devil’s through the name of Jesus Christ , and is not a believer in Jesus Christ , even though that man was doing good deeds for the kingdom of God . These last 8 verses are talking about sinner’s being exorcist performing exorcism’s . You know , the Catholic church claims their priest are exorcist performing exorcism’s . I want to point out , Judas Iscariot , was one of those twelve disciple’s , who Jesus gave power over all devil’s , and Judas was NOT a believer . That shows us , there are sinner’s taking part in churches , as member’s , deacon’s , organist , pianist ,elder’s , and pastor’s .
On the other hand , when christian’s cast devil’s out , the bible calls that deliverance (setting the captive’s free) . People ask me , and say “Dan , are you sure all christian’s are suppose to cast devil’s out ,or is that what God has put upon you to do”? Here is a very plain and simple answer : Matt.10 : 1--- “And when he had called unto him his twelve disciple’s , he gave them POWER against unclean spirit’s , to cast them out , and to heal ALL manner of sickness and ALL manner of disease”. Here , Jesus is talking to His twelve apostle’s ,when they were still disciple’s , meaning pupil’s or learner’s . So the twelve disciple’s were NOT apostle’s , at that time . Luke 10 : 1--- “After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also , and sent them two by two before his face into every city and place , whither he himself would come”. So there were seventy more disciple’s (not talking about pastor’s or apostle’s ) , that Jesus gave POWER to cast out devil’s and heal the sick . This next verse tells us they learned quickly and easily . Luke 10 : 17--- “And the seventy returned again with joy , saying , Lord even the devil’s are subject unto us through thy name”. They realized , it was through the POWER of Jesus .
Luke 10 : 21--- “In that hour Jesus REJOICED in spirit , and said , I thank thee , O Father , Lord of heaven and earth , that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent , and hast revealed them unto babes : even so , Father ; for so it seemed good in thy sight”. So the KEY word here is babes . Jesus summarizes the whole bible in this next verse , and TELLS US what ALL christian’s are supposed to be doing , constantly . Luke 4 : 18--- “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me , because he hath anointed me to PREACH THE GOSPEL to the poor ; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted , to preach deliverance to the captive’s , and recovering of sight to the blind ,to set at liberty them that are bruised”, Also, read verses 16-20 .
So , the christian and biblical way to cast devil’s out , is called DELIVERANCE . The sinner’s way to cast devil’s out , is called EXORCISM . I was not picking on my Catholic friend’s . They CLAIM to be EXORCIST , performing EXORCISM’S .
