BY WHOSE POWER

Theme : Acts 3:6

    Being in deliverance training, as heavy as I am, through lack of knowledge, people are constantly telling me, it’s not me that binds, take people out of the spirit world ( Heb.4:12 ), and cast out demon’s, it’s God that does those things. If God is the one who does all those things, why have I lost most of my top teeth, my jaw popped 5 times in the same week, and much more? Do you think I was observing God doing all those things to those demon’s too closely? No, I was actually doing the fighting. Those people are trying to make me feel that I am being prideful, stealing honour and glory from God, even though they keep hearing me tell them how I do these things, heal the sick, and other things that I do, through Phil.4:13.

    I realize it is only Satan or one of his demon’s talking to me, through those people. That is called “channeling”. A good example of that is found in Mark 8:33. Also, christian’s are not to bid ( give ) people who, when you know Satan or one of his demon’s are channeling through them, God’s speed ( time ), as II John 10-11 tell us. That also goes for false doctrines such as : Jehovah Witnesses, Morman’s, Catholic’s, Islamic’s, Baptist, etc., because those people are trying to change your doctrine to their false doctrine. If you are not a mature christian, and hang around them long enough, you will start doubting your doctrine, and that is what Satan wants.

    Back to, who actually does the deliverance or healing, the deliverance worker, God, or both? Lets start with a physical parable : Say you have a nerve problem, and you go to a physician ( man or woman ), and not God. The physician tells you, you have something pressing against one of your nerves, and tells you he needs to operate on you. When he operates on you, he will use drugs before and after, operational tools, and some other people to assist him. Basicly, the physician is your healer, although he had help with power, other than his own, by using drugs, operational tools, and other people to assist him. A question for you. Why do you say the physician healed you, instead of saying the drugs, operational tools, and other people who assisted him, healed you? You know the physician could not have healed you without the help of other power that he used. Your right, the physician did heal you, with the aid of other power. The mechanic fixes ( heals, so to speak ) your automobile, with help.

Ok, now lets do a biblical parable : First of all, when I perform a healing, a deliverance, etc., I use no drugs, but I do use an operational tool, and that is always OIL, as that is sym- bolic of the power of the Holy Ghost. Sometimes I might have other christian’s, who have faith in Jesus Christ, to help me stand in the gap for whoever I pray the prayer of faith for a healing, or whether I take my authority over demon’s for a deliverance. Remember, when I pray the prayer of faith for a healing, I am praying to God, and only once. When I am com- manding demon’s out for a deliverance, I am not praying to God, nor am I praying to the demon’s, but I am putting a demand on God’s power, and my authority comes from the work Jesus Christ did when He shed His blood, and died on a cross, and most importantly AROSE.

    Matt.28:18 tells us God the Father gave Jesus Christ ALL power in heaven and in earth. In Luke 9:1, Jesus Christ gives us christian’s power and authority over all demon’s, and to cure all kinds of diseases. By the way, God loves for all christian’s to put a demand on His power in this context, and requires it. That’s why He gave us Luke 9:1 and other scripture. Say you have a candy shoppe. Someone comes in and wants to buy 100 pounds of fudge candy. They have just put a demand on you for 100 pounds of fudge candy, and you love every minute of it.

    Now, by my works of anointing with OIL and praying the prayer of faith, plus enough faith in Jesus Christ being my faith, as James 5:14-15tell us, I healed that person. I have just shown you faith plus works equals answer ( healing ), James 2:17-18 tell us. If I was to stop here, I would not be giving you a full answer to your question, “How can a christian claim to heal and deliver people from demon’s, isn’t that stealing honour and glory from God? First of all, healing the sick and deliverance etc. are works that God has commanded us to do. Re- member Luke 9:1? If I just sat in the congregation with everyone else, and did not do anything, nor did anyone else, would that person receive healing or deliverance from demon’s? You know the answer is no, unless God chooses to do the work, Himself, without our doings.

    God would be the healer AND the power in that case. When we perform the healing or deliverance, then we are the healer, using God’s power to get the job done, that God gave us to do.

Because of Eze.22:30 and Rom.15:1-2, we christian’s that are strong, should stand in the gap and bear the infirmities of the weak, by healing and deliverance. Now Rom.15:1 also tells us something important, and part of your answer. It says “and not to please ourselves”. How do we heal and deliver other’s from demon’s, and not please ourselves? This is a KEY. We always say : “ in the name of Jesus Christ”. Why is that KEY? Because ( A ) those six words is our authority, and ( B ) the OIL and speaking the word is our power to heal or deliver demon’s out.

    When we speak these words “in the name of Jesus Christ”, that gives honour and glory to Jesus Christ, by letting Satan and his demon’s, and whoever are witnesses to these events, know that it was Jesus Christ authority and power that we used to perform these acts. The whole concept to God’s word is that God the Father receives honour and glory through God’s Son, Jesus Christ, by God the Father’s power, The Holy Ghost. That’s why Lucifer fell and became known as Satan, because of pride, according to Isa.14:12-15. As long as God The Father receives the honour and glory through His Son, Jesus Christ, God is good to go ( so to speak ). Read Acts 3:6-13, and you will find that Peter healed the man, but God re- ceived the honour and glory.

    Our authority comes from Jesus Christ work on the cross, and our power comes from the Holy Ghost. So the deliverance worker is the healer, and God receives His honour and glory as the deliverance worker speaks the word “in the name of Jesus Christ” and God is praised.
